South Kensington Club

South Kensington club was home once to the artist Francis Bacon as well as the official Rolling Stones Ronnie Wood club, you’ll know that this is a special place. I was invited to come and try this members club and experience it as a whole… The interior design striked me as soon as I walked in, apparently it is a reflection from the many travellings the owner Luca Del Bono has done – a mixture of cultures from warm Sicilan colours to earthy materials. It is just lovely and a home away from home to relax and unleash.

They have an amazing fully-equiped gym on the top floor filled with skylight and great studios for classes such as their famous hot-barre, hot yoga and others. I especially like their 30-minute hiit class – fast, effective and such a great workout! After exercising is done you will find an amazing changing room with everything you need – when I say it is just like home – I really mean it! (only that it is even better…no wonder I want to stay there 24/7)

The South Kensington has a great space for social areas. Their restaurant has mediterranean roots and is centred around a century year old olive tree from Sicily – have a glass of wine and let the chef cook you some amazing dishes! Or some healthy juices by the juice bar after your workout…

One of my favourite places is their gorgeous terrace. I like to sit down here and enjoy my coffee while replying a few emails.

As part of the whole experience, I tried their beauty salon for manicure and pedicure as well as their amazing spa treatment Comfort Zone which is called body detox and lasts for 90 minutes. This detoxifying and rejuvenating treatment will aid the elimination of toxins from the body and the skin, by promoting increased circulation. Enjoy a full body exfoliation designed to stimulate lymphatic drainage, followed by a detoxifying and re-mineralizing mud mask using Grotta Giusti Mud. Simultaneously an algae facemask will be applied to decongest the skin and improve microcirculation. Finally, enjoy a connective-tissue massage to ensure maximal drainage of waste products, leaving a firm and toned appearance. I felt so relaxed after the treatment… Thanks to the lovely Renata!
